Welcome to Lupos!
Lupos is a semi-realistic wolf RPG, meaning that the characters are realistic-looking and -acting, but the wolves have human speech and some human customs. The site is a play-by-post roleplay game. We prefer that you roleplay in third person and past tense. Lupos is rated 13+. Mature content (violence and sexual themes) is allowed in the mature forums, which are limited to players 18+ (see rules).

The plot of Lupos is extremely character- and player-driven, creating a sandbox-type feel where your choices matter and affect the overall site plot.

The male had wandered from his territory toward the waterfall where he'd find less salty water. In truth his reasons for doing so were but to clear his mind and find his center. Not to mention the slim possibility that he might discover a loner debating on becoming a part of a pack. Those who sought peace would be well placed within his own.

The heat however grew hotter yet as the sun found its pinnacle in the center of the sky above - marking only the beginning of the hottest portion of the day. Without a cloud in sight there would be no relief unless he found himself some shade. Not even wading in the water itself would cool him and it was not wise to remain in there for too long.

His russet ears pricked forward as he glanced at the cascading waters from atop and followed their path down below as the water collided with a pool beneath. A white mist spraying in every direction imaginable. Not one to miss an opportunity to explore despite the knowledge he should soon return to Luna territory he waded through waters of the lake and found himself beneath the falling waters.

"Oh. That feels good." He murmured to himself as he got an unintentional random massage from the force of the falls. What he had wandered so close to it for however was to see if perhaps behind might be found a secret cave. Yet the shower he was getting cooled him from the sun and felt too good to move and continue his search for what may or may not even be there.

In truth, the black she had only come out to this godforsaken territory to collect herbs. As previously mentioned by her brain, she was, unfortunately, running low on supplies she'd need to actually, properly heal. Now given the fact that she could find most water-loving herbs here (that could help with her stores), Veritas Jabez Requiem had chosen to venture out into the wide, wide world of danger. Congratulations, world. You've made surviving hard too - any harder than it was before, actually. Kindly take back your idiot predators and restore prey supplies and you just might be forgiven. Of course, Veritas' ranting was ignored by aforementioned world and she continued walking down to the beginning of the lake, only in a much worse mood than she was before. First Saoirse, now this.

It came to her attention that there was one very striking male amidst the lush grasses and rippling curtains of water. Having travelled to the Falls multiple times before (when she was much happier and younger), Veritas trod past the young man and almost completely ignored him in her compulsive search for what she needed. Nevermind the fact that the man could have been from the soft Luna pack, or the Solis pack - she just didn't care that much. Risky behaviour for her, she knew, but at that moment she was simply too exasperated to do anything about it. Besides, he was standing under the misty spray and pounding waters - if he wanted to lose footing and fall, then get his skull dashed across the rocks - well, that wasn't her business.

Her job was work, work, work and then work some more. Hoping to slip by as inconspicuously as possible, Veritas swept past the water and into a tunnel she'd found when she'd been exploring one day. She left her precious bounty on the rocks to dry, then sniffed around to see if she could find any scents of prey. The pack was hungry. She was hungry. Every-goddamn-body was hungry. And still, no signs of food anywhere. If all else failed, Veritas reasoned, check secret-hiding-spot-for-when-ghost-gets-pissed. Inside lay a small pool filled with the occasional fish. It only so happened that the female happened to get lucky. Now, if she could at all, just had to find a way to fish out the fish.

Excellent.

His eyes open he saw the much darker colored wolf than he. Not like it took a whole lot to be darker than himself considering for the most part he was white with the lightest shades of silver-gray. Even had he seen the herbs he would have ignored him for he was no thief. It could only end in disaster if either or both other packs in the locale grew angered by the action enough to start a war. Which he didn't want. Not because he couldn't do what was necessary, but because he was a proponent for peace and listened to the needs and wants of his pack-mates; his followers.

Moving from his position beneath the cascading water he trekked after the she-wolf. Curiosity getting the better of him. He just hoped he wasn't going to get into any sort of trouble in regards to what might occur. Perhaps he could be of some help with whatever she was doing, but was careful not to make a sound, or at least not very much of it so as not to frighten away potential prey. Not like there was a whole lot of that to go around.

At least back in his territory if any predators came out he'd be able to hide easily. But what was the sense of hiding from another wolf unless they became hostile toward him and those who followed his lead?

He whispered, "Do you require aide?"

While he'd never before noticed this tunnel he kept it to memory. Perhaps he'd need to further explore the terrain, but he didn't have much time for that. An alpha needed for the most part to be in their pack's territory and should not long linger outside of it save on official business.

The grumpy healer had nearly figured out a way to trap the tiny fish in the shallow pool, intent on moving rocks to suit her purpose. She would chase the fish into the hole, then block it with one more stone to prevent them from leaving before attempting a kill. Sure, they were unsatisfactorily small, but as long as pack had food, pack was fed and her job was done well - she didn't really care. There were others who needed the good food anyway. But just as she was moving the last rock into place, the sudden sound of a male's voice shocked her out of her reverie.

do you require aid?

The healer whipped her head back, eyes and nostrils flaring - the voice had caused her to shove the rock too roughly, fish now scared away and her efforts, wasted. "You utter idiot! Those fish were going to feed my pack!"

Veritas, spitting fire and flame turned, hackles rising until she looked like one heap of very angry she-wolf. Perhaps she could take this wolf on? But no, the scent on him was of Luna. If he had been a loner - no problem. But he was Luna. His pack would become the Stella's enemies if she attacked. So she gruffly waved a paw to dismiss the matter.

"Well now that this happened, I do indeed require aid. I must keep the pups in my pack fed and treat their hunger-related diseases. If you could help me get mint leaves to stave off hunger, and some pain-numbing herbs, I'd be mighty glad. Can you do that?"
